Since 2020, Rights CoLab has used data science to demonstrate the financial materiality of human rights issues. Partnering with Columbia University’s Data Science Institute, we developed a machine learning model to uncover insights on DEI and labor conditions in supply chains. Our findings emphasize the financial risks of discriminatory hiring, recruitment biases, and supply chain visibility gaps. With advancements in AI, we continue refining our models to support standard-setting efforts at SASB/ISSB.
