Human rights NGOs should learn funding lessons from service providers
Human rights NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe are facing increased hostility from governments and declining legitimacy in public opinion, while social service providing NGOs are not similarly threatened. Social service organizations deploy particular business models and aspects of sustainability that are not characteristic of human rights NGOs. Can human rights organizations learn from this difference?
