Rights CoLab is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Value Reportin Foundation in August 2021, formalizing our partnership as a research collaboration for updating the SASB Standards.

The MOU sets out terms for sharing regular updates and materials between our two organizations, and confirms that the Value Reporting Foundation will consider the evidence produced by our data science team and inputs from our Expert Group as part of its process to assess the scope and prevalence of multiple human capital management themes across its set of standards.

This MOU is the Value Reporting Foundation and SASB’s first research collaboration with a civil society organization. It formalizes our role in informing SASB’s Human Capital Research project, providing regular input to the research to standard-setting phases, and ultimately influencing the recommendations SASB researchers make to its Standards Board for changes to its current framework.

Value Reporting Foundation was launched in June 2021, as a merger of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).
